Review for PS Plus’May Offerings

This month of May, another awesome lineup for PS Plus Free games are currently available from May 6th to June 8th, starting off with:

1. Table Top Racing: World Tour (PS4)
b1
Developed and published by Playrise Digital Ltd. The game Table Top Racing: World Tour is great! You can imagine playing one of those tiny toy cars you see in any toy stores except with this game you get to customize your car, pick up power ups and utilize them to win the race. The missile slows down enemies, likewise the freeze gun, the bomb and more. It is a really fun game to play with but in my opinion, this game needs more update as it can be so much, much more~. Now to show how the gameplay works, Here is a sample of me playing it in Pursuit Mode where my goal is to chase down another car and smash into them.

2. Switch Galaxy Ultra (PS4 / PSVita)
b2
Now this arcade game arrived both for the Ps4 and PSVita, Switch Galaxy Ultra provides a thrilling sense of speed, Now SGU follows the adventures of Vince Vance, who needs a little dough after a fight in an alien casino. Luckily, his old job running freight for the Dakur Corporation, one of the galaxy’s biggest enterprises, is waiting for him, and Vince sets out with his ship to collect and deliver Tantalum the game’s currency.

SGU is an insanely addictive, fast-paced arcade challenge within the course of the game you cna use power-ups, speed boosts and earn credits to upgrade ships and also challenge everybody for a spot on the leaderboard! I made a video in the beginning of the game and it doesn’t have much to show but as soon as I hit other levels, I really got addicted to it. It’s one of those games if you want to hunt down some trophies for your PSN Account.

3. Shütshimi (PS4 / PSVita)
b3When I first load up Shütshimi, we were greeted by a cigar-smoking, muscle-bounded fish and we laughed out really hard, the game is a randomized shoot’em up about a muscle-bound fish with memory problems defending the seven seas. The game balances fairly well. Instead, you get a game where multi-colored fish wear hats and shoot spinning underwater bears with machine guns. Not to mention every time you finish a wave you are given eight seconds to pick an upgrade that will impact the next wave greatly or poorly.

Ultimately, Shütshimi: Seriously Swole is a fun little distraction with easy pick up and play Game. While you may find the PS Vita version to be more suited to that style of gameplay, the PS4 version is certainly a viable option, especially considering the added benefit of local multiplayer. Even if the enemies get stale very quickly, you’re never really meant to play the game for more than ten or twenty minutes at a time, coincidentally the time it takes to finish a round of the game. Coupled with the unique upgrade mechanics and the occasional chuckle you’ll get just from the craziness on the screen, I can recommend Shütshimi to anyone looking for an easy game to hunt trophies and enjoy with. So again here is a video of me playing the game together with my brother. We really enjoy the game

4. Sayonara Umihara Kawase (PSVita)
b4
This game has a fun elastic physics based platformer with an easy-to-understand, challenging-to-learn and hard-to-master movement system, a relaxing soundtrack, a surreal dream-world aesthetic, and cute anime-styled playable characters. Umihara Kawase is a sushi chef heroine that uses a fishing rod as a grappling hook. The game has a lot of puzzles to solve and it just keeps my brain running.

5.Come on LocoRoco! Buu Buu Cocoreccho! (PS3)
b5

LocoRoco Cocoreccho is part of the long-running LocoRoco series, you’re in control of some sort of magically hypnotic butterfly, which draws any nearby LocoRoco to it, allowing you to control their direction. Holding down the Circle button will create a circle of influence, and any LocoRoco inside will attempt to get to the butterfly. Tapping Circle makes them try harder and faster, thereby causing them to jump higher and farther, allowing them to reach high objects or clear larger gaps. Also watch out for those Mojas who want to eat your adorable LocoRoco .

Aside from these basic controls, you’re also able to utilize the Sixaxis’ motion controls to tilt some platforms, shake tree branches and a bit more. LocoRoco Cocoreccho! is a cute and fun title that’s unfortunately marred by quite a bit of sitting around and waiting. The puzzle elements are cool, the music and art style are charming and the replayability is decent.

6. Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 (PS3)
b6Fantastic Remake of a classic game.

The sequel to Bionic Commando Rearmed, Now Nathan Spencer is back with a big, badder bionic arm, This game has been in my heart and when I tell most people of my favorite NES game back in the day, most have never heard of Bionic Commando. This remake captured the spirit of the original and added some great weapons and features. It is challenging and totally worth it. Even if you beat the game according to my friends as I am yet to finish the game, there are about 50 challenge rooms, some of which will have you scratching your head. But seriously I love it, My brother loves it, we play it both.

A lot of free Indie games for PSN Plus players with Table Top Racing World Tour, Bionic Commander Rearmed 2 and Shütshimi as the standout. Who knows what’s coming next! We Know PlayStation is the best Console out there so let’s chill, relax and play on Playstation!
